Young Mazda of Idaho Falls is seeking a motivated Service Advisor to join our team. As one of the leading Mazda dealerships in the region, we are committed to providing top-notch service to our valued customers. As a Service Advisor, you will serve as the liaison between our customers and our service department, ensuring their vehicle service needs are met with excellence. Your primary responsibility will be to consult with customers, assess their vehicle service requirements, and recommend appropriate services based on their needs and vehicle manufacturer recommendations. You will also provide accurate service estimates, communicate service updates to customers, and ensure their overall satisfaction throughout the service process. Responsibilities
  • Schedules service appointments and obtains customer and vehicle data prior to arrival
  • Writes up customer’s vehicle problems accurately and clearly on repair orders
  • Advises customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications
  • Refers to service history - inspects vehicle - and recommends additional needed service
  • Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts
  • Checks on progress of repair throughout the day and contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time
  • Explains cost and time requirements in detail and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed
  • Keeps service department forms - menus and pricing guides up-to-date
  • Explains completed work and all charges to customers
  • Implements a quality control process to eliminate comebacks
  • Handles telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process
Qualifications
  • Two years related dealership experience and/or training preferred
  • Clean driving record
  • Able to pass background check and drug screen
  • History of solid and successful employment
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Career minded and goal oriented
