The Purchase and Inventory Control Specialist maintains all inventory schedules. It also manages flooring accounts (payoffs and new flooring requests). Responsibilities
  • Always communicates with internal and external customers in a respectful and courteous manner
  • Organize all paperwork in each deal and checks for completeness
  • Validate and post all dealer trades into accounting
  • Reconcile the Holdback schedule
  • Cross-trains other for this position as directed by management
  • Fills in for other administrative positions as needed and directed by management
  • Assists with related special projects as required
  • Makes daily payoffs to flooring and posts into accounting
  • Submits new flooring requests daily and reconciles that they are processed
  • Monthly reconciliation of flooring balances - CDK vs Bank Balances
  • Prepares "frozen asset" report for GM's
  • Assists in monthly closings
  • Prepare analysis of accounts as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Stocks in New Vehicle Inventory
  • Prepares deal jackets for New - Dealer Trades - and Wholesale vehicles
  • Collect Titles and Power of Attorney for all Wholesaled vehicles
  • Collect payments from Wholesalers
  • Sign over titles for all Wholesales who have paid in full
  • Bills out all dealer trades and prepares Certificate of Origin
  • Clean all inventory schedules
Qualifications
  • Reports to work on-time and as scheduled
  • Maintains a good driving record and is considered "insurable" by our auto insurance carrier
  • Self-motivated and able to effectively prioritize tasks and organize schedule
  • Maintains a professional appearance and neat work area
  • Knowledge of how schedules work and can reconcile them
  • Strong and effective communicator - both written and verbal - with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with both accounting and non-accounting personnel
  • Proficient typing and computer skills using MS - Word - Excel - Outlook - and Internet
  • Ability to work independently as well as maintain a positive working relationship with our team and customers
  • Perform multiple tasks under tight deadlines without sacrificing quality or accuracy
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
